CheckWell Privacy Policy

CheckWell is made by David Girgis. This policy explains what the app stores and where it goes.

What the app stores

The names, guardian details, allergies, notes, pickup codes and check-in and check-out times you enter, plus the display name you choose for yourself. This information is stored on your device.

iCloud

If you are signed in to iCloud, your groups are stored in your own private iCloud database so they sync between your devices. When you invite a volunteer to a group, that group and its check-ins are shared with the people you invite through Apple's iCloud sharing, and they can see and update the shared information. You can stop sharing or remove a volunteer at any time from the group's Info tab. Apple's iCloud terms apply to that storage.

What we do not do

CheckWell has no accounts and no servers of its own. We do not collect analytics, do not use tracking, do not show advertising and never see the information you enter. Exports (PDF and CSV) are created on your device and only go where you send them.

Purchases

Subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are handled by Apple through the App Store. We receive no payment details.

Children

CheckWell is used by adult volunteers and staff to record attendance. It is not directed at children and does not communicate with them.

Deleting your data

Delete a group, a child or a session inside the app to remove it from your device and, if you use iCloud, from your iCloud database. Deleting the app removes everything stored locally.
